Selena Gomez Shares Taylor Swift’s Emotional Reaction to This Hit Song

The first person to say that she loved Selena Gomez’s song was Taylor Swift.

Gomez recently talked about sharing her songs with her close friend Taylor Swift in an interview with iHeartRadio.  She performed ‘Lose You to Love Me’ for Swift and her mother, Andrea Swift, prior to the song’s official release in 2019, which was an especially poignant event.  Swift and her mother both started crying as the song went on, which caused Gomez to start crying too.  She later included the intensely personal self-love hymn on her 2020 album, ‘Rare’.

Gomez clarified why she cherishes Swift’s criticism of her unreleased songs, highlighting how much she enjoys her candor.  She greatly appreciates having someone who offers sincere and helpful criticism.

‘I Said I Love You First’ is a joint album that Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco, recently published.  Swift expressed her enthusiasm for the project on Instagram Stories, referring to it as one of her favorite albums.

Both Swift and Gomez were up-and-coming musicians in the 2000s, which is when their friendship began.  Swift and Gomez were dating Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas, respectively, when they first met on a double date.

Swift has been a fervent supporter of Gomez since she announced her engagement to Blanco in December, and she even stated that she would be happy to attend the wedding.  She joked that she would be happy to serve as the flower girl in a remark on the couple’s Instagram photo.
