Selena Gomez talks about being body-shamed!

“Lose you to love me”, singer has always been transparent about her mental health issues and her battle with auto immune disease Lupus and in 2017 she underwent a kidney transplant.
The 25 year old singer opened up about how her issues led to weight fluctuations, making her extremely conscious of her body image. Criticism and Body shaming urged her to take a break from Social Media in 2018. In an interview with Ryan Seacrest and Kelly Ripa, Selena explained how toxic the platform has become. “I used to use it a lot but I think it’s become really unhealthy for young people, including myself, to spend all of their time fixating on all these comments, and letting these stuff in” Gomez said.

In a recent interview, the singer says “I’m very happy with my life and being present…” which pretty much reflects in her new song , “Lose you to love me”, a song about self love. She also said that she wishes more pop stars and strong women wouldn’t chase an image for the sake of society.
