Selena Gomez Teases New Collab With REMA
On 17th August, Selena Gomez revealed via social media that she is working on a new project with REMA.
The founder of Rare Beauty shared a black-and-white photo of herself grinning ear to ear while holding hands with the budding Nigerian Afrobeats star on her Instagram Story. Gomez didn’t provide much information, but she did include a bright GIF with the words ‘Coming Soon’ above the picture.
Gomez has been teasing her fans about upcoming music for a long time now by making references to it in interviews and sharing cryptic TikTok videos from the studio. Her next project will be the follow-up to her 2020 album ‘Rare’ and her 2021 Spanish-language EP ‘Revelación’, which garnered the singer the very first Grammy nomination of her career for best Latin pop album, even though she hasn’t formally stated that a studio album is in the works.
REMA, on the other hand, debuted in March with the release of his album ‘Rave & Roses’. The album featured AJ Tracey on the tracks ‘Soundgasm,’ ‘Calm Down’ and ‘FYN,’ as well as cameos from Chris Brown (‘Time n Affection’), 6lack (‘Hold Me’) and Yseult (‘Wine’).

Gomez is currently balancing a lot of different tasks and opportunities, keeping herself quite busy. She is getting ready to release Selena + Chef’s fourth season, which may or may not have been recorded at Hannah Montana’s Malibu home. She is also working on a remake of the 1988 film ‘Working Girl’. Oh, and she’s nominated for an Outstanding Comedy Series Emmy at the 2022 Emmy Awards for her work as an executive producer on OTT’s ‘Only Murders in the Building’.
