Shakira Postpones North American Tour: Here’s Why

Shakira fans will need to exercise a little more patience as the singer has announced the postponement of her Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran North American tour. Originally scheduled to kick off soon, the tour has been rescheduled for next year, much to the disappointment of eager audiences.

The decision to push back the tour stems from an overwhelming response and high demand for tickets. Shakira expressed her gratitude to her fans on social media, stating that their support and love “mean the world to” her, helping artists break barriers and achieve new heights. This tour marks her first return to the US since her El Dorado World Tour in 2018.

The anticipation surrounding Shakira’s performances has only grown, especially following the release of her latest album, signalling a triumphant comeback. The Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran tour was initially set to begin in the near future, featuring stops across both the USA and Canada.

In her announcement, Shakira revealed that the North American leg of the tour will now take place in larger stadium venues, allowing for even more fans to attend her shows. The rescheduled tour is set to commence in May, following her Latin American performances.

While the updated schedule for the tour has not yet been released, it is expected to be announced soon. Shakira conveyed her excitement through her Instagram Stories, saying, “Your incredible support since my tour announcement has truly been extraordinary, and it’s already making this the biggest tour of my career.”

She further elaborated that, as indicated by Live Nation, the high ticket demand necessitated larger stadiums and additional dates “so I can see as many of you as possible.”
