Shakira Reunites With Jennifer Lopez at the 2025 Grammys

At the 2025 Grammy Awards, which took place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez got back together. The 48-year-old Shakira earned her first Grammy in the Best Latin Pop Album category with ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’. Shakira received the trophy from Jennifer Lopez, 55, who brought the two celebrities together onstage for the first time since their February 2020 Super Bowl LIV Halftime performance.

“Wow, this is incredible,” Shakira said as she collected the award, expressing her thanks. She used the occasion to deliver a personal speech, expressing her respect and appreciation for immigrants in the United States and dedicating the honour to them. She also praised industrious women who support their families, referring to them as the real heroes.

Her remarks were made in the midst of the United States’ ongoing immigration problems under President Donald Trump’s administration. With pride in their kind hearts and gratitude for their support, Shakira, who has two sons with her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, dedicated the prize to her kids, Milan and Sasha.

Shakira’s debut album in seven years, ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran’, was hailed as a profoundly intimate and life-changing endeavour. Other nominees for Best Latin Pop Album were Kali Uchis, Kany García, Luis Fonsi, and Anitta.
