Shawn Mendes Dedicates New Song ‘Heart of Gold’ to Liam Payne

Shawn Mendes dedicated one of his new songs to the late Liam Payne, a former member of One Direction.

In a video shared by fans, Mendes addressed the audience at the Brooklyn Paramount Theater, saying, “We heard the news about Liam, and it felt completely devastating. I met him a few times, and he had such a beautiful soul, with a gleam in his eyes that was pure beauty.” He added, “It’s about grieving those we miss, but also celebrating who they were. I just want to send so much love to him, wherever he is. Liam, we love you. The world is crying for you, brother, and we’re all praying for your son and family.”
