Sky Ferreira’s New Song, ‘Don’t Forget,’ Will Be Released Next Week

Sky Ferreira is about to release her first single in over three years. She has announced the release of a new song called ‘Don’t Forget’ next week.

Capitol, the singer- songwriter’s label, confirmed the release date, tweeting that the single will be available on 25th May. Ferreira’s first single in nearly three years will be ‘Don’t Forget,’ after ‘Downhill Lullaby,’ released in March of 2019.

While neither track has been confirmed, both are expected to appear on Ferreira’s long-awaited second album, ‘Masochism.’ The follow-up to 2013’s ‘Night Time, My Time’ was originally scheduled for 2015, but was repeatedly postponed.

Ferreira announced a release date for new songs in an Instagram post commemorating the ninth anniversary of ‘Night Time, My Time’ in October of last year. Ferreira announced that her new album would be released in 2022 of the following month.

The album was supposed to drop in March, but near the end of the month, the singer advised fans to hold off on their ‘wrath and death threats’ until April. Now, it appears that the long-awaited second single from the album will be released next week.

Ferreira has collaborated with Charli XCX on the song ‘Cross You Out,’ which was featured on 2019’s ‘Charli’, after releasing ‘Downhill Lullaby’ in 2019. She released a previously unreleased cover of David Bowie’s ‘All The Madmen’ in January to commemorate Bowie’s 74th birthday.
