Snoop Dogg Saves Gail Bliss, on ‘The Voice’ After Feeling His Late Mother’s Spirit

In a recent episode of ‘The Voice’, Snoop Dogg made an emotional decision to use his Coach Replay button on contestant Gail Bliss, inspired by the memory of his late mother. Bliss, whose audition did not initially earn any chair turns, moved Snoop deeply. “The spirit of my mother is in me right now,” Snoop shared after the performance.

Snoop revealed a personal connection to Bliss, saying, “My mother’s sister’s name was Gail, one of my favourite aunties.” Although he hesitated, Snoop admitted, “You couldn’t see me, but I had my hand like this the whole way,” as he hovered over the button.

Thanks to the new Coach Replay feature, Snoop had the chance to act on his instinct. “If I were to push this button right now, you would be on my team,” he said, before pressing it, leaving Bliss emotional and overwhelmed with joy. The contestant, the oldest in the competition, shed tears of happiness and leapt into the air.

When asked by host Carson Daly what his mother’s spirit told him at that moment, Snoop responded, “You need this woman on your team. You need some wisdom.” It was clear that this decision came from a place of deep intuition.

Earlier in the season, coach Reba McEntire also utilised the Replay button for contestant Kendall Eugene. Snoop praised the addition of the button, stating, “It’s the second chance for the coaches when we realised we missed this moment.”

Snoop’s bond with his mother, who passed away after health issues, was evident in his actions. After using the button, he embraced Bliss, saying, “My mother’s spirit is all in you right now,” reaffirming the emotional connection that guided his choice.
