Social Media Responds to RAYE’s Performance at the 2024 MTV EMAs

RAYE delivered a medley performance at the 2024 MTV EMAs. On 10^th November, RAYE took the stage at Manchester’s Co-Op Live Arena. She also took home the award for Best UK and Ireland Act. For her medley, RAYE performed Escapism, Oscar Winning Tears, and Body Dysmorphia with the accompaniment of a choir and small orchestra.

After the performance, fans flooded social media to share their opinions on RAYE, with a universally positive response to the up-and-coming talent.

Since her debut, the only major release from her has been Genesis, which dropped in June. RAYE recently previewed the track live at a special pop-up exhibition in New York City, expressing how “proud” she was of the final result.

She also mentioned that the release of her sophomore album will be postponed longer than anticipated due to her car being broken into and her songwriting notebooks being stolen.

At the 2024 MTV EMAs, Taylor Swift took home four awards, the most of the night, while other winners included Sabrina Carpenter for Best Song with Espresso, Ariana Grande for Best Pop, Liam Gallagher for Best Rock, and Eminem for Best Hip-Hop, among others.
