A new movie is based on Stephen King's horrifying story of Cujo, a rabid killer dog.
King's story was initially adapted for the movie in 1983, with Dee Wallace as a mother battling to protect her son from a huge, 200-pound St. Bernard. The novel was first published in 1981. The previously amiable pet becomes a vicious, bloodthirsty creature after being bitten by a rabid bat.
The narrative centres on a mother and kid who are stuck in their stalled car and must make the dreadful decision to either try to withstand the intense heat inside or run the risk of being attacked by the ferocious dog outside.

Cujo, Brett Camber's cherished pet, is shown in King's book when he stumbles into a bat-infested cave and comes out of it eternally altered. In the meantime, in pursuit of a quiet existence, Vic and Donna Trenton relocate to Maine with their little son Tad. However, as Cujo's rampage commences, their world quickly sinks into a nightmare.
Casting and other important information are still unknown because the movie’s adaptation is still in its early stages of development. The project comes after the recent publication of Osgood Perkins's second King adaption, ‘The Monkey’, which centres on a cursed wind-up monkey that wreaks fatal havoc.
