Stormzy Makes His Met Gala Debut With Custom Burberry Suit And Cape

Stormzy wore a custom-made Burberry suit and cape to the Met Gala in New York on 2nd May.

The Croydon rapper joined Billie Eilish, Jack Harlow, Olivia Rodrigo, Nicki Minaj and Anderson. Paak at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual fundraising gala in New York City. He finished his UK and Ireland stadium tour last month.

‘Gilded Glamor and White Tie’ was the Met Gala’s fashion theme this year. Stormzy sported a custom-made white Burberry wool cloak and a three-piece suit with satin lapels created by Riccardo Tisci, who recently revealed his third studio album.

Stormzy stated that he was “nervous” about the event on the red carpet. He said that it’s quite different, but it’s fantastic.

He told Vogue that he was just going to embrace it and that he usually dresses in all black, so it was wonderful to stand out. He also said that when you see them on TV, its completely different. So, he is just going to take a few selfies, have a drink and relax while taking it all in.

Stormzy’s stylist Melissa’s Wardrobe shared some behind-the-scenes photos of the 0207 Def Jam rapper getting ready ahead of the event.

Jared Leto and Alessandro Michele, the creative director of Gucci, wore similar outfits at the Met Gala. For this year’s theme, ‘In America: An Anthology of Fashion,’ the actor and musician wore matching cream-colored Gucci tuxedos with identical bow ties, clutch bags and hair styles to the event.
