SZA Admits During The O2 Arena Show That Her Ex-Boyfriend Cheated on Her in London

SZA vented during her performance this week at London’s O2 Arena after having a particularly traumatic encounter there.

“I never told anybody, but like, my boyfriend cheated on me in this city before,” the ‘Kill Bill’ singer tells the crowd in a video posted on Instagram. “It was terrible. That’s why I was really sad to come here, but you guys made it so much better. Thank you!”

Before launching into her ‘S.O.S.’ smash ‘Nobody Gets Me,’ she made the announcement, “This song is about my other trash ex-boyfriend.”

As Beyoncé once said, the “best revenge is your paper,” and SZA’s been demonstrating that over her enormously successful past year. Her long-awaited sophomore album, ‘S.O.S.’, had its initial debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, becoming her first chart-topper. It remained at the top of the list for an irregular 10-week period. ‘S.O.S.’ became the second-largest streaming week for a female artist and the third-largest of 2022 among all albums with more than 400 million streams in the U.S. during release week.

She began the appropriately named, global ‘S.O.S.’ tour in the middle of that stretch. The North American ‘S.O.S.’ tour generated $34.5 million in revenue and sold 238,000 tickets.
