Taylor Russell and Jenna Ortega in Talks for ‘Single White Female’ Remake

According to reports, Taylor Russell and Jenna Ortega are in talks to produce and star in a remake of ‘Single White Female’.
The Hollywood Reporter claims that 3000 Pictures is working on a remake of the 1992 psychological thriller, which featured Jennifer Jason Leigh and Bridget Fonda. The production business and Sony have an agreement, although Sony has not yet commented on the idea.
In the first movie, Fonda’s character Allison takes in Hedra (Leigh) as a new roommate as she heals from a breakup. Hedra’s actions get more violent and compulsive as the two get closer. Kristen Miller starred in the 2005 follow-up, ‘Single White Female 2: The Psycho’.

Ortega, who has starred in ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ and ‘Wednesday’, is presently promoting ‘Death of a Unicorn’, an A24 horror comedy in which she portrays Elliot’s kid, played by Paul Rudd. She will also co-star with Charli XCX, Natalie Portman, and Catherine Zeta-Jones in Cathy Yan’s film ‘The Gallerist’.
Taylor Russell has received recognition for her ability to strike a balance between dark and delicate characters. She was commended for her performance in Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Bones and All’.
Lady Gaga will join the cast of ‘Wednesday’ Season 2, which is anticipated to debut on OTT before the end of 2025. The singer and actress was recently referred to by Ortega as “one of the most talented individuals I’ve ever worked with.”
