Taylor Swift And Selena Gomez Are in The 2023 Oscar’s Shortlists

The Oscar shortlists for the year have been revealed. Taylor Swift is shortlisted for 'Best Original Song' for ‘Carolina’, a folk-style ballad from ‘Where the Crawdads Sing’. 

However, she was not nominated for her short film ‘All Too Well,’ which she directed. ‘All Too Well’ won three MTV Video Music Awards this year— ‘Video of The Year’, ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Long-Form Video’.

Taylor Swift’s BFF, Selena Gomez was nominated for 'Best Original Song' for ‘My Mind & Me’. She co-wrote the song for ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me’, which wasn’t shortlisted for best documentary feature.

Ludwig Göransson, Alexandre Desplat, Simon Franglen and Ryan Lott of Son Lux are each semi-finalists for both ‘Best Original Song' and ‘Best Original Score’.

The Motion Picture Academy released shortlists of between 10 and 15 semifinalists in 10 categories. Nominations for the 95th Oscars are yet to be announced.
