Taylor Swift Fans Can Hear ‘Back to December (Taylor’s Version)’ in The ‘Summer I Turned Pretty’ Trailer
In a brand-new teaser for season 2 of the series ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty,’ Taylor Swift introduced her re-recorded ‘Back to December’ in advance of the release of ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’.
Swift captioned the trailer on social media, “Crying (Taylor’s Version)”.
Swift is no stranger to the OTT series, based on the Jenny Han book trilogy of the same name:
She debuted ‘This Love (Taylor’s Version)’ from her 2014 album ‘1989’ in the first season trailer of ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’. Additionally, her song ‘August’ from 2020’s ‘Folklore’ is featured in the first season 2 trailer.

As previously reported after the first trailer debuted, ‘August’ returned to Billboard’s Hot Rock & Alternative Songs at No. 17. Whether ‘Back to December (Taylor’s Version)’ will be released earlier to capitalise on the new trailer is still to be determined.
‘Back to December’ was the second single from Taylor Swift’s 2010 album ‘Speak Now’. The song has been re-recorded and will be released next week, on 7th July, along with new ‘From the Vault’ songs.
A week later, on 14th July, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’ season 2 will premiere. The lead character of the show is Isabel Belly Conklin, played by Lola Tung, who finds herself in a love triangle with her best friend Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) and his elder brother Conrad (Christopher Briney). The brothers’ struggles with losing their mother and perhaps even their childhood home are explored in the upcoming season.
