Taylor Swift is All Set to Make Her Directorial Debut For Searchlight Pictures

Singer-songwriter, Taylor Swift will make her feature directorial debut with Searchlight pictures. She has written an original script for the same. The film’s name hasn’t been revealed yet.

Taylor recently directed her own music video, ‘All Too Well’. The video starred Dylan O’Brian and Stranger Things’ Sadie Sink. It was screened at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival. 

Searchlight presidents, David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said, “Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller,”as they announced Taylor’s directorial debut. They added,  “It is a genuine privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.” 

Although not many details have been revealed about the project, Taylor has previously named Nora Ephron, Chloe Zhao and Greta Gerwig as her directorial influences.

Taylor was most recently seen in a drama movie, ‘Amsterdam.’ She also starred in other movies like ‘Cats’, 'The Giver', 'Valentine’s Day' and 'The Lorax'.
