The official trailer for the upcoming David O. Russell movie ‘Amsterdam’ features Taylor Swift.
Swift’s inclusion in the star-studded ensemble of the crime drama was first made public last year. She acts alongside lead actors Christian Bale, John David Washington and Margot Robbie.
The 1930s provide the setting for ‘Amsterdam’, a movie dubbed an “original romantic crime epic” in which the primary characters find themselves at the centre of one of the most hidden schemes in American history.
Swift can be seen in the ‘Amsterdam’ trailer as a daughter in grief who is sobbing over her deceased father. The trailer also has appearances by several well-known actors like Chris Rock, Anya Taylor-Joy, Mike Myers, Rami Malek and Zoe Saldaña.

The ensemble cast of the movie was initially made public in June 2021, following reports from the year before that Russell and Bale were getting ready to collaborate on a new project. The Fighter (2010) and American Hustle (2013) were the previous movies on which the duo collaborated.
On 27th April at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Russell, whose directing credentials also include Joy and Three Kings, had the movie’s debut trailer aired. On 4th November, ‘Amsterdam’ will release in theatres.
Swift’s performance in ‘Amsterdam’ is her first on-screen role since playing Bombalurina in the live-action ‘Cats’ in 2019. Prior to that, she portrayed Rosemary in ‘The Giver’ (2014) and provided the voice of Audrey in ‘The Lorax’ (2012).
