Taylor Swift is Partly The Inspiration For The Goat Scene in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’

According to Taika Waititi, a meme featuring Taylor Swift's 2012 song ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ served as some of the inspiration for a scene in 'Thor: Love And Thunder' in which screaming goats are present.

The director claimed in an interview with Insider that he had no ambitions for the goats beyond their simple inclusion in the scene. That all changed when he saw a video featuring a goat screeching in between the chorus of ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ imitating the song's catchy hook.

The fourth film in the Thor franchise, titled 'Thor: Love And Thunder', hit theatres last week. According to Waititi, who told NME that “directors need to be controlled occasionally," there won't be a director's cut of the movie available.

The third single from Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, ‘Red,’ ‘I Knew You Were Trouble,’ was made available in November 2012. Along with the remainder of the album, it was redone for the 2021 release of ‘Red (Taylor's Version).’
