Taylor Swift is The Top Winner at The 2022 MTV EMAs

The 2022 MTV EMAs’ top winner is Taylor Swift. The event was held recently at the PSD Bank Dome in Düsseldorf, Germany. She won four awards-Best artist, best video, best pop and best longform video for ‘All Too Well (10 Minute Version) (Taylor’s Version).’

Swift has now won the award for best video twice. She received the award three years ago for her ‘ME!’ song with Brendon Urie.

David Guetta, SEVENTEEN and Nicki Minaj all received two awards. For ‘Super Freaky Girl,’ Minaj won the best song, as well as best hip hop. Guetta won best electronic and best collaboration for his work with Bebe Rexha on ‘I’m Good (Blue)’.

Harry Styles, who had the most nominations this year, only took home one prize: best live. The category was reintroduced after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The show, which included performances by Guetta and Rexha, Muse (best rock) and Gorillaz (best alternative), was co-hosted by Rita Ora and Taika Waititi.

OneRepublic played ‘I Ain’t Worried’ from the blockbuster ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ following a video introduction from the movie’s hero, Tom Cruise. Ava Max, Gayle, Lewis Capaldi, Tate McRae, Thundercat and other artists also performed on the show.

During the EMA red carpet show, rising West Philadelphia rapper Armani White performed his hit ‘Billie Eilish.’ The best longform video category, won by Swift and the best metaverse performance category (which went to BLACKPINK) were introduced this year. A special award for Best Look ‘Personal Style’ went to co-host Ora.
