Taylor Swift Reveals Sixth Song Title From Brand-New Album, ‘Midnights’

Nearly half of Taylor Swift’s tracklist from her upcoming album ‘Midnights’ has been made public. The singer-songwriter announced the third track’s name, ‘Anti-Hero,’ as part of her TikTok series ‘Midnights Mayhem With Me’.
Swift once more chose the track at random by spinning a cage of balls and selecting one. It comes after the songs ‘Mastermind,’ ‘Vigilante S**t,’ ‘Question…?,’ ‘Midnight Rain’ and ‘Maroon.’
While accepting Video of the Year at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, Swift revealed the album. Shortly after, she sent a message to her fans explaining the album.
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams,” Swift wrote at the time. “The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves.”
Apart from its theme, few other details are currently known about the pop star’s tenth album. She recently disclosed that frequent collaborator, Jack Antonoff contributed to the album.
The singer-songwriter is also releasing the album on four different coloured vinyl pressings, including the ‘Lavender,’ ‘Jade Green,’ ‘Blood Moon’ and ‘Mahogany’ versions. The clock face will be created using the back covers of the various vinyl editions.
Swift’s most recent studio albums, ‘Folklore’ and ‘Evermore’ were released in 2020. The first two of her re-recorded albums, ‘Fearless (Taylor’s Version)’ and ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ were made available last year.
In an interview, Scooter Braun expressed regret over the way he handled the sale of Taylor Swift’s master recordings after his company purchased Swift’s previous label Big Machine in 2019. “I learned an important lesson from that. I think a lot of things got lost in translation. I think that when you have a conflict with someone, it’s very hard to resolve it if you’re not willing to have a conversation,” he said on the NPR show The Limits With Jay Williams.
