The ‘Lavender’ edition of the album gets its name from the soft purple colour that has been applied to the album’s title and tracklisting on the cover (and to the left-side bar of the CD version’s jewel case). Three bonus tracks, with no titles yet, including one new song and two remixes, will be included on the CD. Additionally, it will include a collectable lyric booklet with unique disc artwork and insider images.

That booklet, a full-size gatefold photo, and an album sleeve with two more photos will all be included with the vinyl release. The bonus tracks will not be included, but the record itself will be manufactured on a marble that is a soft lavender purple and white.

Target has issued special editions of each of Swift’s albums to date, including the ‘Taylor’s Version’ remakes of ‘Fearless’ and ‘Red’. The ‘Lavender’ edition of ‘Midnights’ is the latest result of their continuous collaboration.

Swift introduced the ‘Jade Green,’ ‘Blood Moon’ and ‘Mahogany’ editions of ‘Midnights’ earlier this month. Each features unique colour schemes, artwork and images. Although it’s unclear how many of each edition were produced, fans could only order them for a week after they were announced.

Swift revealed in a Toronto International Film Festival interview that she wants to make movies that are “real stories about human emotion”. There, the celebrity participated in a panel discussion called ‘In Conversation’ and screened her first short film, ‘All Too Well’, on 35mm.
