Taylor Swift’s Childhood Home Has Been Put on The Market For $1.1 Million

One of Taylor Swift’s childhood homes is being sold for a whopping $1.1 Million, with the property reportedly finding a new buyer. Swift’s family began renting the three-story home with five bedrooms in Reading, Pennsylvania during her childhood after spending her early years growing up on a Christmas tree farm.

The house, which was completed in 1929, is 3,500 square feet and rests on a three quarter-acre property. The family stayed there for three years before relocating to Nashville in 2004 to pursue the singer’s budding music career.

According to the New York Post, the home was listed for $1.1 million in February and went under contract on 8th April after a $100,000 price decrease.

A past owner of the mansion went viral on TikTok in 2020 after posting a video explaining her link to Swift. The woman, Sydney Redner, told interior decorating magazine Property Beautiful that there’s an imprint of TAS – Taylor Alison Swift’s initials – in the cement outside the house. “We get a lot of fans taking pictures outside the house,” Redner told the magazine. “I feel like there tends to be more around the holidays, when people are traveling from other states and want to see it.”

“If Taylor Swift has a concert in Philadelphia or somewhere close, there are more fans around that time. Our family is fine with fans taking pictures, as long as they are quick and respectful.”

In other Swift news, in a Los Angeles Times profile of Phoebe Bridgers, the singer lauded her song writing. The duo worked on the song ‘Nothing New,’ which was included as a bonus track on Taylor’s album ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’ last year.

“I think that the specificity of Phoebe’s lyrics, and the vulnerability she expresses in her voice when she delivers them, is what makes her music so deeply impactful and moving for me as a fan,” Swift wrote in an email to the Times.

“You feel like she’s reliving a precise memory or delivering a secret message to someone and you get the privilege to read it or hear about it.”
