The 1975 are all set to feature in an upcoming episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’ next month! The band will perform a sketch comedy show while Jenna Ortega will host. Ortega is known for her role in ‘Wednesday’. This will be their second appearance on the show. They have previously performed songs like ‘The Sound’ and ‘Love me’ from ‘I Like it When You Sleep, For You Are so Beautiful Yet so Unaware of it’. Meanwhile, this will mark Jenna Ortega’s ‘SNL’ debut.

Jack White is also set to be on an upcoming musical guest roster in ‘SNL’ for the fifth time with Woody Harrelson as the host. After that, Kansas City Chiefs’ Travis Kelce will host the show with musical guest Kelsea Ballerini. The 1975 will feature in the show to support their album ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’! They will also resume their tour for this album in July.
“After a phase of experimentation, the band’s fifth album is succinct, cuttingly self-aware, and boasts some of their most-direct pop hits in years,” said the critics about the album.

Other artists who have featured on ‘SNL’ this year include Sam Smith, Lil Baby and Coldplay. Coldplay performed ‘Human Heart’, ‘The Astronaut’ and ‘Fix You’ on the show which was hosted by ‘The Last of us’ star, Pedro Pascal. Pascal also performed a Mario Kart-inspired skit that parodied the HBO show.
