There had been speculation that The 1975 worked on the ‘Bad Blood’ singer’s new album, ‘Midnights’. Matty Healy, of the 1975, revealed that they did work on the ‘Midnights’ album, but that version never came out.

In 2019, he disclosed that even though he wanted to produce an ‘intimate acoustic album’ for Taylor and would love to work with the singer, he didn’t take the chance and bring up a potential collabration when he met the star at an award show in 2020.

Last month, in an apparent ‘leaked’ tracklist of the ‘Midnights’ album, Matty appeared to be a featured guest on the album, however it was confirmed to be fake.

Although a 1975 collaboration is not in the cards this time, the ‘Midnights’ album features other artists, like Lana Del Ray, on a song called ‘Snow On The Beach’. Jack Antonoff, who is Taylor’s frequent collaborator, recently worked on 1975’s fifth album.

Jack has previously worked with Taylor on her ‘1989’ and ‘Folklore’ album, both of which recieved Grammy awards. The two also share a close personal relationship, after having first met in 2012.
