During the panel, the cast fondly remembered Raúl Juliá, who played Gomez Addams and passed away in 1994. They shared heartwarming stories of their late co-star, with Huston recalling Juliá’s professionalism and infectious spirit on set. She described him as a “perfect gentleman” and a great dancer who kept the cast entertained with his opera singing between scenes.
Lloyd also reflected on his role as Uncle Fester, mentioning his admiration for the 1964 TV series version of the character, played by Jackie Coogan. He remarked on Fester’s mischievous nature, calling it fun rather than malicious.
Lloyd described Juliá as a warm and loving person with a “big heart,” which made the memories of working together even more special. The reunion comes at a time when ‘The Addams Family’ legacy continues, with recent adaptations such as the popular series ‘Wednesday’, starring Jenna Ortega as the iconic daughter.
Ricci, who originally played Wednesday, also appeared in the series, adding a delightful connection to the original film. The cast’s reunion brought back fond memories for fans of the creepy and kooky family, making this Comic Con panel a perfect tribute to both the film and the beloved characters.
