The Killers Reunite With Dave Keuning For Album

The ‘Mr. Brightside’ fame American rock band, The Killers shared footage from the studio recording music with guitarist Dave Keuning and we cannot keep calm!

The band reunited with Dave who has been relatively inactive with the band since 2017. The guitarist has been focusing his time and energy on his solo career that has “reawakened the creative part of me” according to him. In 2019, he released his debut album “Prismism”. He did not contribute to the band’s latest album “Imploding The Mirage” though.

With ‘The Killers’ set to release a follow-up to last year’s record in 2021, looks like Keuning is here to stay with the band! Dave and Brandon formed the band in 2001 and have delivered several hits together!

Snip-slip!

An Instagram live session showed the band members in a studio, wearing masks probably jamming as a short clip of their upcoming music plays in the background. Keuning is with the band as part of these sessions.

Fans ‘Implode’ As The Band Hints At A Better Upcoming Album

Brandon while talking to a source, said that their new album “might be even better” than “Imploding The Mirage”. “You know when people just say that? Every time someone makes a record they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are,” Brandon said on completion of “Imploding The Mirage”.

“We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio with [Jonathon, producer] Rado and Shawn [Everett, producer]. We did a week in Northern California.”, Brandon added. “I had a lot of time on my hands. Before I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”, the singer continued.

Keuning’s Departure From ‘The Killers’

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci while talking to source about why Keuning departed the band in 2017, said: “I don’t know, to be honest. It was just kind of decided. When we started working the schedule out we asked him if it worked for him and he was like, ‘Maybe, I don’t know’. Well, we’re going to go ahead and do this [make ‘Imploding The Mirage’] because we feel good and we feel creative. Let’s strike.”

“We didn’t really hear from him, except when it came to making a video. He was like, ‘If you guys want me in the video…’ Well, I’m not sure that makes any sense either! Video? How about some guitar?”, the drummer continued.

Meanwhile, Brandon explained that Keuning was content and happy saying home following the release of his solo album. He said the guitarist was spending more time with his family. Brandon said, “I think he’s content doing that right now”.

New Album?
