The New Single ‘Strangers’ From Bring Me The Horizon Will Be Released in July

After giving a live preview of their upcoming original single, ‘Strangers,’ last month, Bring Me The Horizon revealed the song’s release date.

The band initially unveiled the song during a DJ performance they gave on the opening night of their own event, Malta Weekender. The version of the song they played, featured loud electric guitars and thrashing percussion, similar to most of the band’s recent studio material.

However, in a new teaser video, the song appears to have been changed into a much more subdued ballad, suggesting that this may not be the version they will officially release. Guitarist Lee Malia can be seen playing in the video as vocalist Oli Sykes and keyboardist Jordan Fish are singing.

‘Strangers’ will be released on 6th July. The track is the band’s first official single of 2022. With Machine Gun Kelly (‘Maybe’), Sigrid (‘Bad Life’), Masked Wolf (‘Fallout’), IC3PEAK (‘VAMPIR’), and Tom Morello (‘Let’s Get The Party Started’), among others, the band has released a number of joint singles during the past year.

Additionally, the group collaborated with Ed Sheeran on a fresh rendition of his single ‘Bad Habits’ following its premiere at the BRIT Awards this year. They also contributed to the song ‘Moon Over Castle’ for the Gran Turismo 7 soundtrack.

‘DiE4u’, released by Bring Me The Horizon last September, was their most recent independent single. That song, along with ‘Strangers,’ is anticipated to appear on the band’s upcoming ‘Post Human’ EP series, which is set for release later this year. In October 2020, the first instalment, ‘Post Human: Survival Horror,’ was made available.

Assuring fans that they would get songs out as quickly as they can, Sykes stated in a 2021 interview with NME that the band was working on parts two, three, and four of the series.

In May, Sykes hinted that they’d been working on the record for almost a year when they released a tease for ‘Post Human 2.’

He added that they have a tonne of songs, but they’re being selective about what they want to release. There must be roughly 45 tracks in total. Bring Me The Horizon likened their Malta Weekender to Fyre Festival in jest, earlier this year, saying it had “better sandwiches” when attending the 2022 BandLab NME Awards. The group also performed a six-song tribute to Ukraine and received the Best Band From The UK award.

The band revealed information about their upcoming North American tour in the same month. The September to October runtime includes support from Knocked Loose, grandson and Siiickbrain.
