The Second Video Of Ye’s ‘Eazy,’ Continues To Target Pete Davidson

Ye and The Game have released a new video for their recent collaborative hit, ‘Eazy,’ which, like the first one released earlier this month, has Pete Davidson being assassinated.

The previous video had a rudimentary, monochromatic claymation style, but the new one used 3D models to create the animation. An animated version of the skinned money from the ‘Eazy’ single’s cover art appears beside West and The Game.

In this clip, the monkey attacks Davidson, pinning down a blurred-out avatar of the Saturday Night Live actor who is presently dating Ye’s ex-wife, Kim Kardashian, and punching him repeatedly over Ye’s line, “God saved me from that crash / Just so I can beat Pete Davidson’s a**.

The initial video for ‘Eazy’ was widely critisized because to its depiction of violence against Davidson. In the video, Ye kidnaps the comedian and buries him with his head uncovered in a bed of soil. The rapper scatters seeds around, causing Davidson’s head to sprout a rose bush. After that, Ye takes out a pair of gardening shears and begins trimming the roses, cutting to a close-up view of Davidson’s eyes turning white.

In the days after the video’s release, a number of celebrities came out in support of Davidson. James Gunn, who worked with Davidson on The Suicide Squad, for example, expressed his support for the actor and comedian on Twitter: “Pete Davidson is one of the nicest, sweetest guys I know. A truly generous, tender, and funny spirit, he treats everyone around him with respect.”

Kaley Cuoco, who co-stars with Davidson in the upcoming Meet Cute, backed him up as well, agreeing with Gunn’s assessment. West later responded to the outrage on Instagram, writing that “art is not a proxy for any ill or harm,” and that ” any suggestion otherwise about my art is false and mal intended”.

Kardashian was awarded single status by a judge earlier this month, marking the next stage in her divorce from West. She can now legally revert to her maiden name, Kardashian, from Kardashian-West. Details like child custody and property are still being worked out, and the matter is not expected to be concluded anytime soon; the next hearing is scheduled for August 5.

Ye has shared an animated video for his ‘Donda’ single ‘Hurricane,’ shared a poem titled ‘DEAD,’ and joined the hordes of moviegoers showering love on The Batman over the past one week. Meanwhile, Corey Taylor has referred to West as a “f*** m***n” for releasing “Donda 2” solely through his $200 Stem Player device.
