The Weeknd Announces New Single ft. Late Juice WRLD

The Weeknd Announces a new ingle with the late Juice WRLD

Earlier today, The Weeknd took to social media to announce the release of an upcoming single featuring the late rapper, Juice WRLD. The Weeknd broke the news with a simple caption: “XO + 999 Thursday Night”. While ‘XO’ indicates the singer’s label, ‘999’ is a series of numbers the late Juice WRLD often referenced in his music. Further, the track will arrive on Thursday, the 6th of August. There hasn’t, however, been any mention of the title the single will carry.

As reported by various industry experts, a new single from The Weeknd comes as a surprise considering his ongoing reign of music charts worldwide. In addition, Juice WRLD’s posthumous album, “Legends Never Die”, has witnessed one of the biggest debuts of an album in 2020. Not to mention the stellar numbers it’s raked in as a hip-hop album, too.

In addition, Abel’s ‘Blinding Lights’ continues to sit comfortably at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100. His latest studio album, “After Hours” also marks one of the most successful releases of the year.

But, The Weeknd and Juice WRLD boast respective cult followings and icon status. And so, the new collaborative and posthumous single is bound to shake things up in the music world. In addition, it’s sure to carry forward the duo’s individual winning streaks.
