The Weeknd Clears The Air With Usher

The Weeknd is addressing the elephant in the room, he’s finally addressed the supposed feud between him and Usher. The ‘Starboy’ singer says that he has never had bad blood with the singer.

What Exactly Happened Between The Weeknd & Usher?

The Weeknd mentioned in an interview, “I heard ‘Climax,’ that Usher song, and was like, ‘Holy f—, that’s a Weeknd song,’..It was very flattering, and I knew I was doing something right, but I also got angry. But the older I got, I realized it’s a good thing.”

In less than 24 hours, hashtag ‘ClimaxChallenge’ started to trend. Even Usher hopped on to the trend and shared it on his Instagram.

However, Even if, The Weeknd compared his work with Usher’s 2012 track, ‘Climax’. He did not do it in a competitive way but to say that he was inspired by the song. Which clearly means that he did not have any beef with him.

The Weeknd even mentions that he called Usher to apologise for how the media perceived his comments. “I hit him up to apologize and tell him that it was misconstrued. He’s one of the reasons why I make music … I have nothing bad to say about Usher. The sweetest, most down-to-earth guy ever.”

The Weeknd has been setting a lot of records straight! Be it about having “no comments” on his relationship with Selena Gomez and now this. Well, we love a dude who doesn’t want any drama in his life even if we feed on it.
