The Weeknd Hints at A New Single

Abel Makonnen Tesfaye, better known by his stage name, The Weeknd, is known for his mixture of contemporary, soul and alternative R&B along with hip-hop in his songs. They’re trippy, trance-y and have the perfect beat to groove to.

The Canadian singer-song-writer has released three albums, three mixtapes and one EP since 2012. The artist has also dropped a couple of singles along the way that has, as promised, delivered. His last track dropped at the beginning of January 2019 and was called ‘My dear Melancholy,’ which was a cluster of six songs.

Abel recently took to Twitter to tease the release of his brand new single, ‘Blinding Lights’. The artist was seen filming a music video for this very track in the American city of blinding lights- Las Vegas. It’s safe to say that what happens here in Vegas, is not gonna stay there because now, we’re all eagerly waiting to listen to this killer track and watch the essence of Vegas unfold in this music video.

The Weeknd was also featured in the new Mercedes-Benz advertisement along with a teaser of his single playing in the background. The advertisers also announced that The Weeknd will be starring in a full Mercedes-Benz film that will be out on 29th November 2019.

It is not surprising that Abel begged for this deal with the brand, considering his love for cars, and going by the number of times he’s mentioned it in his songs.

First a new song, next an advertisement and now a movie? Looks like The Weeknd never fails to surprise us!
