The Weeknd Releases Official Live Video For ‘Die For You’ in HBO Special Preview

The Weeknd dropped the official live video for his hit single ‘Die For You’ as a preview of his forthcoming HBO live special! The clip shows him taking the stage with the projection of a giant moon in the background. It was shot at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium with a packed house!

“I f—in’ love you Los Angeles, thank you so much,” he told his fans in the clip. “This is the last show and I think it’s the best f—in’ show all tour, baby, let’s go!” The arena then flashed red and blue lights to complement his song’s sensual groove. He started singing right after, and a group of dancers joined him on the stage in their full-body coverings.

‘The Weeknd: Live at SoFi Stadium’ was filmed during the U.S. leg of his ‘After Hours til Dawn Tour’ in Los Angeles. A release announcing the video also mentioned that his hit ‘Earned It (Fifty Shade of Grey)’ has received Diamond Certification from the RIAA. This is his fifth Diamond single after ‘The Hills’, ‘Starboy’, ‘Blinding Lights’ and ‘Can’t Feel My Face’. He is one among the few artists who have received this honour. Bruno Mars has six Diamond singles, while Post Malone and Drake have five each!
