The Weeknd Shares Teaser of His Work on The Recent Avatar Film

The Weeknd teased a new project on the new Avatar film, set to release on the 16th of December. He shared a 12-second music clip featuring the blue Avatar logo, along with ‘12.16.22’ written below it. 

Avatar’s film producer, Jon Landau tweeted a picture with The Weeknd and wrote, “As the Na’vi say, ‘Zola’u nìprrte’ soaiane Avatar’… Welcome to the Avatar family”.

The film, ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is a sequel to the Avatar movie that was released in 2009. It is an epic science fiction film. Its estimated budget for production was between $280 million and $310 million for production, due to its advanced visual effects. Although the Development of Avatar began in 1994, with release planned in 1999, writer and director James Cameron said that the required technology needed to achieve his vision of the film, did not exist yet.

The film became the highest-grossing movie of all time, as it earned $2.92 billion worldwide. It won three Oscars: best art direction, best cinematography and best visual effects.

The Weeknd is among the world’s best-selling music artists with over 75 million records sold. He has won 4 Grammy awards and 6 American Music awards and various other accolades. His latest album, ‘Dawn FM’, released in January 2022. It featured vocals from Tyler, the Creator and LiL Wayne.
