‘The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep’ Trailer Reveals New Voice Actor Replacing Henry Cavill
Ahead of its 11th February premiere, a new teaser for ‘The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep’ has been published, featuring Doug Cockle as Geralt of Rivia’s voice. Henry Cavill, who played Geralt in the main series from 2019 until 2023, is replaced by Cockle. But Cockle has already voiced Geralt in CD Projekt Red’s ‘The Witcher’ video game trilogy, so he is familiar with the role.
Geralt is a mutant monster hunter who is recruited to look into a string of attacks in a seaside community, according to the official synopsis for ‘Sirens of the Deep’. He is caught up in a centuries-long human-merpeople struggle during his inquiry, and he must rely on both old and new acquaintances to keep the tensions from turning into a full-scale conflict. Based on the short story ‘A Little Sacrifice’, the movie extends the Continent’s world and takes place between episodes five and six of the first season of the show.

For season four, Liam Hemsworth has taken Henry Cavill’s position, who recently left the main series. Cavill discussed his decision to stand down, saying he was proud of his performance as Geralt and was excited for Hemsworth’s portrayal of the character.
The OTT announced last year that season five, which would adapt the final three books of Andrzej Sapkowski’s tale, will mark the end of the main ‘Witcher’ series.
After ‘Nightmare of the Wolf’ in 2021, ‘Sirens of the Deep’ is the second animated movie in the series. ‘Blood Origin’, a prequel miniseries, debuted in December 2022. Anya Chalotra and Joey Batey return to their roles as Yennefer and Jaskier, respectively, despite Cavill’s absence from the film. Christina Wren voices a new character, Essi Daven, who is Geralt’s romantic interest. The movie was postponed until February 2024 from its original late 2023 release date.
