This ’80s Icon Is Getting His Own Biopic
Musical biopics have gained significant attention in recent years, and now Boy George is set to be the subject of his own film. Deadline reports that J.C. Lee has been hired to pen the screenplay for this upcoming biopic, which is currently in development at TriStar Pictures. The studio, known for its recent releases like ‘The Book of Clarence’ and ‘Thanksgiving’, has yet to announce a release date for the film.
Boy George, the iconic lead singer of Culture Club, will be the focus of the biopic. The movie will explore both his solo career and his work with the band, incorporating popular hits such as ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me?’, ‘Karma Chameleon’, and ‘I Just Wanna Be Loved’. Boy George’s distinctive fashion sense, influenced by artists like David Bowie, played a major role in his rise to fame, and now audiences will get to see his journey depicted on screen.
