On social media, Tim Allen just posted a charming moment with Tom Hanks, his longtime co-star from ‘Toy Story’. The two actors originally collaborated 30 years ago on the classic animated movie ‘Toy Story’, which produced over $390 million worldwide on a $30 million budget and garnered three Oscar nominations. Since then, they have worked together on all of the ‘Toy Story’ sequels, including the wildly popular ‘Toy Story 4’, which made over $1 billion worldwide in 2019.
Allen shared a pair of images on his X account: Hanks provided one of him standing next to a Volkswagen ID Buzz, and Allen made a fun parody of it.

Both performers have had successful careers outside of their roles as Buzz and Woody. Allen, who is well-known for his work on ‘Shifting Gears’ and the ‘Santa Clause’ films, was nominated for an Emmy for his role in ‘Home Improvement’. In addition to receiving nominations for performances such as Captain Miller in ‘Saving Private Ryan’ and Mister Rogers in ‘A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood’, Hanks is renowned for his back-to-back Oscar victories for ‘Philadelphia’ and ‘Forrest Gump’.
In terms of the future, ‘Toy Story 5’ has already been confirmed to be released on 19th June 2026. Tim Allen and Blake Clark are confirmed to return, although the plot is yet unknown. Andrew Stanton and McKenna Harris co-directed, and Stanton wrote the screenplay.
