Tom Hanks And Robin Wright Celebrate Their ‘Forrest Gump’ Reunion
Tom Hanks and Robin Wright have reunited with director Robert Zemeckis for the film ‘Here’, marking their first collaboration together since ‘Forrest Gump’. The trio first worked together on the iconic 1994 film, and now, decades later, they’ve come together again for this new project.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Hanks shared his excitement, saying, “We all know each other so well,” while Wright added, “Working with people you know and you’re compatible with” Zemeckis expressed that he had been eager to reunite the two actors for a project since ‘Forrest Gump’.

Here tells the story of a couple at different stages of their lives, based on the graphic novel by Richard McGuire. The film explores the passage of time through generations, capturing universal human experiences. Hanks praised the collaboration, noting that working with Wright and Zemeckis allowed them to “put our heads together” and explore new creative ideas.
Wright echoed his sentiments, calling the film “one of the best working experiences” of her career. The comfort and chemistry between the three collaborators added to the film’s creative process, making the reunion all the more special.
