Tom Hanks Embraced the Challenge of Leading New Docuseries ‘The Americas’
‘The Americas’, a 10-part nature documentary that highlights the awe-inspiring beauty and vulnerability of Earth’s sole supercontinent, will be narrated by Tom Hanks. The series, which was filmed over five years and 180 missions, uses hour-long episodes to explore a variety of American landscapes, such as the Atlantic Coast, Amazon, Andes, Patagonia, and more.
New species, unusual courtship rituals, and exciting deep-sea hunts are just a few of the ground-breaking findings that the show promises to reveal. Its dedication to realism and the absence of computer-generated imagery in the narrative are what distinguish it. Hanks highlights that the show offers a blend of entertainment, education, and discovery and is a true reflection of life.

Watching the playful behaviour of animals, from carefree young cubs and otters to curious chicks and owls, as they explore their world for the first time, is one of the highlights of the series, Hanks mentioned. Hanks couldn’t resist the opportunity to highlight these intimate and lighthearted moments in the outdoors.
Hanks thanked everyone for participating in the project and described it as a unique chance to document the unquestionable truth and beauty of nature. Mike Gunton serves as executive producer, and Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer composed the show’s music in addition to Hank’s narration.
