For their most recent movie, Here, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright have reunited after enthralling audiences together in Forrest Gump for almost 30 years. During the film’s promotion, Hanks expressed his joy at collaborating with Wright once more, stating that it felt natural to get back in touch with her after all these years.
“We just picked up right where we left off,” Hanks said while talking about their time together during the October 25 AFI Fest global premiere of Here in Los Angeles.

Even though they hadn’t seen one another in a long time, he underlined how natural their reunion seemed. We are so comfortable with one another, which is why we adore one another. Hanks joked about their same recollections and experiences, saying, “It was a luxury to be able to jump back into the same conversations we’ve been having for the last 30 years.”
Wright agreed, telling People that it was a pleasure to work alongside well-known actors like Hanks and filmmaker Robert Zemeckis. “There’s nothing like working with people you know and get along with,” Wright remarked. This was mirrored by Hanks, who claimed that their familiarity enabled them to work together easily and explore new things with a common understanding.

With a focus on a single house where lives collide in love, grief, and joy, Zemeckis’ film Here depicts a generational tale of families spanning a century. The movie, which is based on Richard McGuire’s 2014 graphic novel, also features Paul Bettany and Kelly Reilly.
