Tom Holland Recalls Breaking Up a Supermarket Brawl After Fans Recognised Him
Tom Holland discussed how he carefully considers when to appear in public to avoid attracting too much attention in an interview with Men’s Health. He did, however, offer a story about a visit to a Whole Foods supermarket in Los Angeles where his celebrity unexpectedly came in handy. Two men started fighting close to him, so Holland chose to step in and break up the altercation by seizing one of them. According to the actor, the man recognized him right away and seemed divided between being angry and realizing that Spider-Man was encouraging him to relax.
Since his first appearance in ‘Captain America: Civil War’ in 2016, Holland has played Spider-Man, also known as Peter Parker. He has played a crucial part in the Avengers movies, and he most recently starred with Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ in 2021.

Holland stated in the same interview that he intends to completely avoid the spotlight if he ever becomes a father. He declared that he would no longer be seen in movies and would “disappear off the face of the Earth.” The 28-year-old actor has some significant projects planned despite this long-term strategy. He will return as Peter Parker in the as-yet-untitled fourth ‘Spider-Man’ movie and star in Christopher Nolan’s planned adaptation of ‘The Odyssey’. He will also reunite with Robert Downey Jr. in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which is slated for release in 2026.
Holland, who acted opposite Zendaya in the ‘Spider-Man’ movies, also spoke highly of his partner, calling her his “saving grace.”
