Pamela Anderson claimed that her ex-husband, Mötley Crüe’s Tommy Lee, made efforts to comfort her after ‘Pam & Tommy’ aired on an OTT platform. The series had eight episodes and starred Lily James and Sebastian Stan as Pam and Tommy. However, according to Pamela Anderson, her consent was never taken for the series. The show is about the couple’s tumultuous relationship and the controversy of their stolen sex tape leaking online. Anderson stated that this caused her great psychological stress.
Pamela Anderson has expressed her distaste for the program and its producers. She also said that the show felt like rubbing “salt on the wound”, and made her relive the trauma all over again. She revealed that Tommy Lee reached out to comfort her, saying: “I remember Tommy writing me a note saying, ‘Don’t let this hurt you like it did the first time,’ because he had heard through the kids that I was kind of struggling with the idea of bringing this all up again. I don’t think he was portrayed kindly. I just know that I refuse to watch it.”
She stated that she had no hard feelings towards the actors. She added, “I think it’s hard to play somebody when you don’t know the whole picture. I’ve got nothing against Lily James. I think that she’s a beautiful girl and she was just doing the job. But the idea of the whole thing happening was just really crushing for me.”
In the same interview, Anderson stated that she wanted to invite Lily James to the premiere of her documentary, ‘Pamela, A Love Story’. This is after Lily revealed that she sent Anderson a letter, which she never responded to. “I was really hopeful that she would be involved,” James said at the time. “I wish it had been different.” Anderson recently said that she got the letter but did not want to read it, so she scanned a copy and left it in her inbox indefinitely.
