Too Soon Sherpa

Acclaimed Indian guitarist, founder and core member of the famous Indian rock n’ roll band “Parikrama”, Sonam Sherpa, has passed away at the age of 48.

The cause of death is reported to be a massive cardiac arrest.

The renowned guitarist helped begin Parikrama’s journey by founding the band in 1991, breaking boundaries in the western music scene in the country. The band has reached significant heights through their inception, touring the world.

Sherpa was invested in the power of music and even began the Parikrama School of Music, motivating students to take up their passions in a more serious capacity.

He is succeeded by his bandmates, all of whom are in a state of deep shock.

Sherpa’s impact on the musical landscape of the country has not gone unrecognised; his contributions are valued and he will be dearly missed.
