Tove Lo Brings you Passion , Pain and Bikini Pxxx

It’s only been 4 months since Tove Lo’s previous release, ‘Sunshine Kitty’, which became an instant hit. In fact, one of the song’s off the album, titled, “Glad He’s Gone” even managed to land a nomination for the Best Music Video award at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards!

Now the famous Swedish pop star is back in the game, with not one, but two new songs. The two tracks are called “Bikini Porn” and “Passion And Pain Taste The Same When I’m Weak.” Interestingly enough, Tove Lo actually collaborated with Billie Eilish’s brother, Finneas, who helped in the production and songwriting process for both numbers.

And yet, there isn’t a strand of similarity between these tracks and Billie’s. What’s strange is that both of them appear to be exact opposites of each other. While ‘Bikini Porn’ is more of an upbeat tropical pop tune, “Passion And Pain Taste The Same When I’m Weak”, is a lot slower and ambient.

In the former song, Tove Lo sings about her success and enjoying a warm day,

“All I do is drink champagne all day, all day, all day / And I dance around my room naked, oh yeah, naked / Skinny dippin’ in the pool with me, with me, with me / Take a day out from your life all day, one day, today.”

Whereas, in the latter tune, she sings about an ill fated relationship “If you break my bones, I’mma hurt my soul,/ Gonna f*ck it out again and again, hmm / Stop me fooling lies, they’ll swallow down / You’re gonna get what you’ve given’ to me.”

It’s exciting to see her experiment with different moods for both songs and it looks like the singer isn’t getting a minute to catch her breath, because she’s going to start touring soon! Her ‘Sunshine Kitty’ tour kicks off in Nashville on February 3rd and wraps up in Los Angeles.
