Travis Barker Slays Adele’s ‘Easy on Me’ Drum Cover

It came as a great surprise that Travis Barker is an Adele fan. The drummer for Blink-182 took to Instagram on 4th January to showcase his version of the singer’s “Easy on Me,” and the results were stunning.

In the video clip, the rockstar is clad in a black Napalm Death long sleeve shirt, a matching black beanie, and headphones as he transforms Adele’s latest No. 1 song into a rock ballad for the ages, his singular voice crooning, “Go easy on me, baby/ I was still a child/ Didn’t get the chance to/ Feel the world around me/ I had no time to choose/ What I chose to do/ So go easy on me.”

Fiancée Kourtney Kardashian left a red heart in the comments area, while Barker described the spectacular performance with a single grimacing face emoji. His “My Ex’s Best Friend” collaborator Blackbear asked, “Was that a stick break at the end[?]”

“Easy on Me” also follows the pop-punk legend’s recent cover of Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” with Jack Harlow, Carrie Underwood and Isaiah Fisher’s Christmas rendition of “Little Drummer Boy,” and a viral altered art portrait of Kardashian covered in tattoos on his social media profile.

Barker kickstarted the New Year by joining Avril Lavigne on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve With Ryan Seacrest 2022 from Los Angeles to perform their latest collaboration, “Bite Me.”

The drummer is still hard at work on Born With Horns, his second collaborative album with Machine Gun Kelly, which is expected to be the first of two albums from the rapper-turned-rocker in 2022.
