Travis Kelce Calls First Movie Producing Experience ‘Incredible’ Ahead of ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’ Premiere

As Travis Kelce enters the realm of film production, he is welcoming a new challenge.
The 35-year-old is concentrating on the release of ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’, his debut feature film as an executive producer, after a difficult Super Bowl loss with the Chiefs in 2025. He highlights how the film illuminates the challenges faced by veterans while telling a compelling story, calling the experience immensely fulfilling. Kelce wants to keep working on initiatives that inspire, amuse, and have a significant influence.
Sonequa Martin-Green plays an Army veteran who is dealing with PTSD following the passing of her close friend and fellow soldier, Natalie Morales. Kelce praises Martin-Green and Morales’ nuanced and genuine performances, highlighting the film’s emphasis on two strong female characters. He also recognizes how the movie honours the bravery, tenacity, and leadership of female military personnel.

Kyle Hausmann-Stokes, the director, shares that Kelce’s involvement was motivated by a sincere desire to assist the military and veterans, even if his schedule prevented him from seeing the set or interacting with the actors. With a sizable percentage of the ensemble being actual veterans, the production brought together a group of people committed to changing society. For the same reasons, Hausmann-Stokes views Kelce’s contribution to the movie as an honour.
Kelce’s passion for filmmaking isn’t limited to ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’. Additionally, he is working with producers Mike Field and Ray Maiello on a documentary about artist Jean-Michel Basquiat. A deeper look into the late artist’s life and work will be provided by the King Pleasure project, which will include interviews, personal archives, and never-before-seen footage.
On 28th February, ‘My Dead Friend Zoe’ makes its theatrical debut.
