Travis Kelce Shares ‘Dream Come True’ Experience with Adam Sandler on ‘Happy Gilmore 2’

Working with Adam Sandler on ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ was a memorable experience, according to Travis Kelce. Recently, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end appeared on ESPN’s ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ and talked about his experience filming sequences for the comedy sequel.

At first, Kelce believed that hosting ‘Saturday Night Live’ would be the high point of his entertainment career, but now he said it felt like a dream come true. He called Sandler “every bit as cool off-screen as he is on-screen,” expressing his delight about working with him. Kelce compared Sandler’s leadership style to that of Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, and commended the professionalism and enjoyable environment on set. He disclosed that he appears in multiple sequences and plays a key part in the movie.

Despite acknowledging that his NFL schedule left little time for socializing with Sandler, Kelce intends to get back in touch with him—perhaps for a casual basketball game. Kelce made his feature film debut in October, filming his sequences during Kansas City’s bye week.

In a December teaser, Kelce was shown working at a golf club and welcoming Sandler’s well-known character Happy Gilmore back to the course. Kelce maintained his modesty while making jokes about possible acting honours, pointing out that he probably doesn’t get enough screen time to merit such praise.

The cast of ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ also features Benny Safdie, Margaret Qualley, Nick Swardson, Bad Bunny, and Kid Cudi in addition to Kelce. Additionally, Christopher McDonald will return to his role as Shooter McGavin, the antagonist from the first movie. Fans can anticipate seeing a combination of new and returning actors in the sequel.
