‘Midnight Sun’, released in 2020, offers a fresh perspective on Meyer’s first ‘Twilight’ novel, retelling the story of Bella Swan and Edward Cullen’s romance from Edward’s point of view. The saga follows Bella, a human teenager, as she navigates her complicated relationship with Edward, a vampire, and the dangers of his supernatural world. The Twilight series became a cultural phenomenon, spawning five blockbuster films that grossed over $393 million worldwide. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner starred in the franchise as Bella, Edward, and Jacob, respectively.

‘Midnight Sun’ was highly anticipated by fans, especially after an early draft leaked online and led to a 12-year delay in its release. When the novel finally debuted, it sold over 1 million copies in its first week, proving the enduring devotion of Twilight fans.
