TXT Makes Chart History, Joins BTS and Blackpink
K-Pop boy group, TXT, have joined their label mates BTS and fellow girl group Blackpink as they make chart history. The group, who have been receiving critical acclaim with their latest EP: “The Dream Chapter: ETERNITY“. The 6 track project explores a mature side of the group as they delve deep into darker thoughts through their songwriting and experiment with intricate, alt-pop production elements.
The EP was released on the 18th of May this year, and marks the second full-length music project by TXT, following the release of their debut album “The Dream Chapter: Magic”, a much happier, bubblegum pop album.
Upon release, the lead single from the album, a track titled “Can’t You See Me?”, topped local Korean music charts, occupying No. 1 on the Melon Music charts and rising to No. 1 on iTunes in various countries worldwide. B-Sides from the EP rose to the Top 10 as well, much to the delight of their fans.
And now, TXT has joined K-Pop greats BTS and Balckpink with a new record in Billboard history. The 5 member group are the third K-Pop group to have all songs from the same album simultaneously chart on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. This means that all 6 songs from their EP currently occupy different positions on the Billboard Chart.
TXT seem to be conquering multiple charts as they also top Japan’s Oricon Total Album Chart – Japan’s main music chart. Their album debuted at No. 4 on the World Albums Chart and continues to grow in sales.
