V From BTS and Bing Crosby to Release “Era-Defining” Duet of ‘White Christmas’
BTS’ V has joined forces with the Bing Crosby estate to bring a fresh rendition of the holiday classic ‘White Christmas’. The duet, titled ‘White Christmas’ (with V of BTS), is set to release on December 6. This “era-defining collaboration” involves the Bing Crosby Estate, Primary Wave Music, and Geffen Records.
Crosby originally performed ‘White Christmas’ in the 1942 musical film Holiday Inn, and his version has since become the world’s best-selling single on physical media, with Guinness World Records noting over 50 million copies sold worldwide. Even though it was released before the Billboard Hot 100’s launch in 1958, it eventually made the chart that year and reached Number Two in 1962.
The duet will be available on a range of holiday-themed vinyl, CDs, and exclusive merchandise, including two vinyl options: a Holiday Picture Disc and a Zoetrope Snowflake design. There are also two limited CD versions, featuring a pink picture disc and a snowflake image.

In a press statement, V shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration, saying he felt fortunate and honoured to sing with his all-time favourite jazz artist, whom he regards as an idol. V explained that he grew up listening to Crosby’s ‘It’s Been a Long, Long Time’ and sang his part of ‘White Christmas’ with deep admiration and sincerity. He expressed his hope that fans will enjoy the duet as much as he did recording it and sent well wishes for the holiday season to everyone listening.
Crosby’s daughter, Mary, mentioned that the family was thrilled to hear V’s vocals paired with her father’s on this cherished Christmas tune, saying their voices blend beautifully and capture the festive spirit. Crosby’s son, Harry, also shared his excitement for the collaboration, saying it’s wonderful that V can help share the timeless joy of ‘White Christmas’ with new listeners.

This collaboration is Crosby’s first cross-generational duet in almost 50 years, following his iconic 1977 recording of Peace on Earth/Little Drummer Boy with David Bowie, produced for Crosby’s TV special Bing Crosby’s ‘Merrie Olde Christmas’. The song, released by RCA Records in 1982, became a major hit, peaking at Number Three on the UK Singles Chart and becoming one of Bowie’s best-selling singles.
In other BTS news, RM recently launched a trailer for his upcoming documentary, ‘RM: Right People, Wrong Place’.
