Gabriella Montez will have her high school reunion thanks to Vanessa Hudgens’ intervention. In a melancholy video posted on 27th June, Hudgens can be seen strolling up and down Salt Lake High School East’s front lawn before approaching the camera, smiling and flashing two peace signs. A portion of ‘Breaking Free,’ her and HSM co-star Zac Efron’s well-known duet, plays throughout.

Many fans remarked that the video had brought a tear to their eyes. Bart Johnson, who portrayed Coach Bolton, the father of Zac Efron’s character Troy, also left a comment beneath the post.

Zac Efron acknowledged that his ‘heart’s still there’ for the movies and expressed hope to be a part of a reunion for the movies in May. On The Kelly Clarkson Show, Hudgens recently revealed how vividly she recalls first meeting Efron and fellow cast members Ashley Tisdale and Lucas Grabeel.

Olivia Rodrigo, who plays in the High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, shared a special moment at this year’s Met Gala. It’s worth noting that this series is filmed at the same school that Hudgens visited for her new music video. Hudgens told Rodrigo on the red carpet that she always feels like she would have such a connection with her because of that, in reference to Rodrigo’s character Nini, who attends Salt Lake High School East and occasionally plays Gabriella in her theatre group’s production of High School Musical.
